Lunacies I've know for a good while. Three of the members were regulars around SJ growing up. I moved away and would tour through and we would play shows together. I tried recording them a couple years ago but then I moved to Portugal and we never finished it. Their original drummer passed and they recently started back up again with a new drummer. Always fast, heavy, wild, and totally sick!

from California Blood Lightning, released December 14, 2023
Recorded at Cold Cut studio in San Jose CA. 2015 by Earl. Remixed/mastered by Josh Wilson.

We are Lunacies (and so are you).
We are a band, straight outta Santa Cruz, which ingredients consist of progressive punk rock, true, omnipotent gospel music, comedy, tragedy, and uhhhhh, red, black and blues beyond control.

*Band members:
Shawn P Thompson (Querta, Papa Lunacies) on Bass.
Chuck Fox (Stu Pidasso), Rhythm Guitarded, backup vocals, lead banter.
(Lightning) Rod Ragains, drums (and on guitar too, maybe in the future, if he, we so desire).
Adrian (Canine) Ramirez (R.I.P.), drums on 2015 demo (this recording), and a bunch of live gigs, online.
Ivan (the terrible) Goddard, Lead guitarist (Axeman).
Filthy Rich Jung, Words, Voice, Spiritual Seppuku/revival through the channel of music, singing, dancing, freaking out.

*Lunacies was formed 'round 2014/15.
We have an (aforementioned) demo; Lunacies demo 2015, which is up on Youtube. A Facebook page (just type Lunacies in search bar). A bunch of live gigs up on Youtube. We are available for gigs, anytime, anywhere (with a reasonable heads up); dive bars, house parties, stadiums, high school/college gyms, children's parties, weddings, christenings, bat mitzvahs, quinceanearas, birthdays, funerals, bouncy houses, mansions, shacks, etc. *We are currently in the works of new material, songs, to rock your proverbial socks off, very soon.

Rock on
