Cherrystone I met at a show I was hosting last year. We recently played a gig together at the Caravan in SJ and then at Winters Tavern in Pacifica! Hopefully many more to come. A group of sweethearts playing some excellent indie fuzz!

Cherrystone is a cross-genre underground band from San Jose, California. Combining the energy from post-punk & post-hardcore with elements of shoegaze, psychedelic cumbia, and contemporary jazz, the band adds a dysphoric but melodic musical experience. Cherrystone’s vocal styling has a similar feel to Amy Winehouse, Gwen Stefani, and Amanda Palmer, placed over darker and heavier riffs. Cherrystone often incorporates more danceable, syncopated rhythms into their music styling, as an alternative take on more traditional punk music.
